EIKON - Inner Sanctum Environment

Inner Sanctum where the two acting high priests of each sect come to commune with their respective god.

Located in a huge cavern under the city, there is a large arcane energy source contained and held stable by the hands of the gods. The seal around the energy is fading and the magic is slowly burning the seal away from the inside out, spilling out the molten magic into the landscape.
Long ago, the gods and their followers fought over control of an ancient arcane energy source. In the ensuing battle it was damaged and became unstable. In order to stop the imminent destruction of the area the gods sacrificed their physical forms and a portion of there power to re-seal the energy away save their followers. The followers of the gods then formed an alliance, creating a new multicultural settlement around the area dedicated to the protection and surveillance of the now hallowed site.
